St. Maarten First-Half Visitor Arrivals Climb 16.5%

The Department of Statistics reports 1.56 million visitor arrivals in St. Maarten during the first half of 2026, up 16.5% from the same period in 2025.

Air arrivals rose 21.4% to 566,722, with March the busiest month at 112,525 passengers. Cruise passengers increased 13.9% to 993,649, led by 292,526 passengers in January.

The gains support a broader dual-nation push for year-round demand. Tourism officials say new routes, stronger regional connections, and the "It's Always St. Martin" campaign are aimed at carrying momentum beyond peak season.
